The Warren County Commissioners unanimously voted for a resolution introduced by Commissioner Jeff Eggleston.
The resolution opposes changes that are currently underway in the state which would turn the Medical Assistance Transportation Program in Pennsylvania into a statewide or regional “full risks brokerage system”.
Warren County is the first county in our state to individually author and approve such a measure in response to an amendment to the human services fiscal code made last June 2018.
Warren County Commissioner Jeff Eggleston says, “the bill will address this issue and put a hold on the change so we’re urging other counties the governor’s office and anyone interested to advocate for that bill.”
Eggleston hopes the resolution and others like it will push the legislature to reconsider changing MATP.
