A large Warren County employer says it’s benefiting from corporate tax cuts.
Senator Pat Toomey toured Ellwood National Forge in Irvine this morning in support of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The act lowers the maximum corporate income tax rate to 21%. For Ellwood National Forge, a maker of machine parts and defense equipment, the tax cuts free up money for $10 million in investment.
Senator Pat Toomey says, “The reform really was designed to make it more affordable for businesses to invest new capital and that’s exactly what you see happening here.”
A new automated machining cell is being constructed. It’s expected to be operational by the end of the year.
