Warren students return to school, contract negotiation status unknown

Local News

WARREN, Pa. — Students returned to the classroom in Warren County on Tuesday after teachers withdraw a threat to strike on the first day of classes.

That threat to strike was due to contract negotiations between the teachers and the district.

Both sides are tight lipped about the status of the negotiations but the latest offer is looking at an increase in pay for the teachers but also an increase in copay for healthcare costs.

Neither side would say publicly where those negotiations stand at this moment or if a ratification vote has been planned.
