Swimming safety for kids was the topic of discussion at the Edinboro branch library.
Experts say you can introduce your babies to water when they are about six months old. Teaching children how to tread water, float, and stay by the shore is also important. Every child is different and enrolling them in swimming classes can help them feel confident in the water. Storytime and sponge painting were just some of the fun activities.
Edinboro Branch Library Coordinator Ann Marie Pochedly says learning about water safety is “…very important because of the recent drownings… and it’s a great idea to keep kids safe…”
