Wattburg students help to stock local food pantry

Local News

Students and faculty at Wattsburg Area Middle School had a busy morning stuffing the SUV.

This fundraiser is aimed at helping to fill the shelves at the local food bank. The students have been selling hot cocoa at lunch to help raise money. They ended up taking in $170.

Teacher Melissa Vallimont tells us, “We have a lot of low-income families out here who really depend on the food bank as we, as Wattsburg and Greenfield, but we’re in Greene Township so we thought we would start here”.

Once the SUV is packed full, it will be taken to the food pantry.
