After months of renovating and rebuilding, the West Erie Plaza is looking to regain it’s spot as a shopping hub.
Friday night, the courtyard is lit up for the first time marking the next step forward.
The newly renovated West Erie Plaza courtyard now glows, lighting the night for the first time since being completely renovated.
Several businesses making the plaza home, including E-Lane boutique, who’s owner says this lighting ceremony signifies so much more.
Allison Gorman says, “It’s really exciting because it’s a reflection of all their hard work coming together. I’ve been open since may, so I’ve been seeing the fences come down, the pavement happen, the trees go up. So it’s exciting to see all that hard work and planning that they’ve done finally come together and know that the plaza is open.”
Claytopia moving in just recently, but the owners saying it’s exciting to see the plaza community come together.
Johanna Sanfilippo says, “We moved in last week but it’s exciting to see the plaza being official now. And we’re still waiting for another business to be coming in in the center and there’s a couple of us here now. So it’s here.”
Phil Sanfilippo says, “I think they’re going to turn this place into a real interesting, unique plaza. Definitely. Oh absolutely.”
Icing on the lake will soon move into West Erie Plaza in February, and the grocery store Lidl sometime in the future.
