It’s time to step away from smartphones or video games during national Screen-Free Week.
The week is about taking a look at the benefits of setting limits to screen time and walking away.
At the Erie County Health Department, they have advice on how to step away from the screens that seem to be so vital to modern life.
Sarah Morgan, Health Promotion and Quality Improvement Supervisor, says, “We’ve got great trails in Erie. We’ve got places to bike you can cook dinner with your family. We know that kids are more excited to eat healthy if they participate in meal preparation.”
According to Screen-Free Week’s website, this is an annual invitation to play, explore, and rediscover the joys of life beyond ad-supported screens.
