Today, Jennifer Sasso was sentenced to one to two years in State Prison and up to seven years of probation. This, after pleading guilty to stealing $147,000 over a six-year span.
Sasso must pay back all of the money she stole and faces an additional $5,000 for the cost of the audit. Her attorney, Noah Erde, says he thinks it’s a fair sentence and that she’s taking steps to make amends. “Obviously, this was a huge wake-up call for Mrs. Sasso and she has been doing a lot to improve herself, to address some of the underlying issues that lead to this conduct.”
The judge took into consideration several letters from her friends, family and even co-workers, all speaking to her good character.
