A jury found 29-year-old Saveria Russo guilty of several charges including accidents involving death or personal injury and driving under suspension.
Investigators say she struck and killed an 84-year-old man in April of 2017. The victim, identified as Neil Schalenbach, was walking down the road when Russo hit him with her car.
Today, the judge sentenced Russo to 3-6 years in a state correctional institution followed by two years of probation.
