Erie Fire Deputy Chief confirms that a woman was injured in an elevator accident at Erie High School.
He says that the elevator was about one foot below the level of the floor as she was trying to back in with a cart. She fell into the elevator, hurting her back and neck and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Neal Brockman, Executive Director of Operations for Erie’s Public Schools tells us, “A contracted food service provider was injured today due to an elevator issue at Erie High School. The power to the elevator has been shut off and a service technician is currently on scene assessing the equipment. The district is not in a position to release any information on the condition of the service provider.”
