A woman originally charged with kidnapping now faces several years behind bars.
Joanna Kelley admitted to concealing a child’s whereabouts and intimidating a witness after, police say, she took a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy to Florida. Police say Kelley drove both teenagers without consulting their parents, after which the girl’s parents reported her as missing.
Police picked Kelley up in Florida, but the teens were later found in Kentucky.
Today, the judge sentenced Kelley to 3.5-10 years in prison. She was also given seven years of probation.
