Woman who abused client gets 11.5 months to 2 years in jail

Assault charges were filed against Qunisha Manus after a woman with cerebral palsy was taken to Saint Vincent Hospital with bruises to her head, neck, arms, and legs. 

Police charge that 27-year-old Manus assaulted the woman, who was non-verbal and confined to a wheelchair.  Manus is accused of striking the victim several times, unplugging her electronic hospital bed, and wrapping the cord around her neck.  

Today, Judge Stephanie Domitrovich sentenced Manus to 11.5 months to 2 years in Erie County Prison, with credit for time served.
