Woman’s apprehension leads to suspected meth lab discovery

ERIE, Pa. — A woman who was taken into custody Tuesday morning has now been charged with operating a methamphetamine lab.

Mary Winters, 25, was taken into custody early Tuesday morning after Millcreek Township police acted on a tip of a wanted person on a warrant issued by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department.

While police were taking Winters into custody, authorities discovered activity that was consistent with a meth lab operation inside the apartment at 5956 Jodie Lane at the Granada Apartments complex.

Charges against Winters include possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a meth lab and manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.
