The Lake Erie Cyclefest wrapped up with a different kind of stroll.
WQLN put on Erie’s first ever Alley Cat Bike Race.
Participants competed in a scavenger hunt around the downtown neighborhoods.
Riders met at Frontier Park and were given a list of stops for their journey.
Coordinators said the Alley Cat Bike Race was the perfect way to end the weekend.
“We live in a gorgeous, right? And when you look at it at six, or eight or ten miles an hour, you really get a new appreciation for where you live,” said Tom New, the WQLN President.
The first rider who completed the scavenger hunt and returned back to Frontier Park won a year’s supply of Fat Tire Beer.
