The Erie Zoo held their first annual “Zoo Good Day” Saturday.
The event brought several local nonprofits together at the Zoo to help raise awareness of the resources they offer. The Community Blood Bank was on hand with their bloodmobile. Supplies for all blood types have been critically low in the past weeks. Getting the word out is the first step in them helping you save lives.
But many other organizations got involved as well. the Sarah Reed Center, the Jolly Jesters and many more joined in. Organizers at the Zoo tell us they plan to make Zoo Good Day an annual event. They say they already have plans to make next year’s event bigger and better.
