Man pleads guilty to shooting at nephew over alleged dirty dishes argument

A man pleaded guilty today to shooting a gun at his nephew.

Edwin Pennsy was expected to head to trial this week, but instead, he pleaded guilty to making terroristic threats, possessing an instrument of crime, and reckless endangerment.  He could face up to 12 years behind bars on those charges.

Authorities claim an argument broke out between Pennsy and his nephew over dirty dishes.  That’s when Pennsy pointed a gun at his nephew’s head and shot; his nephew saying the bullet barely missed him, hitting the ceiling instead.

He originally faced attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges.  He’s scheduled to be sentenced on May 31st.
