An Erie County judge will hear a request for an injunction against striking Wabtec union workers Friday morning.

Jet 24/Fox 66/YourErie.com has learned a hearing is scheduled for 11am at the Erie County Courthouse in front of Common Pleas Court Judge John Mead.

Wabtec filed the request for injunction which, if granted, would place restrictions on picketing outside Wabtec’s Lawrence Park plant.

Members of UE locals 506 and 618 have been off the job since Tuesday morning.

The union is calling the work stoppage a lockout, while the company says it’s a strike.

Picketers have been stationed at the entrances to the Wabtec facility and have been seen blocking those entrances and confronting drivers trying to get past the picket lines.
