The Buffalo Bills are pulling out the red carpet for free agents early this offseason.
The Bills hosted free-agent running back Chris Ivory Monday, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Ivory is testing the market after being cut from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday.
The one-time feature back with the Jets was primarily a backup in two seasons with Jacksonville.
Since Mike Tolbert is going to be a free agent, the Bills are shopping for a back that can take carries off of LeSean McCoy’s plate.
Ivory will turn 30 next month and visited the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday. He is expected to visit more teams before making a decision. Ivory rushed for 382 yards in 112 attempts last season.
