Well, it wasn’t pretty but a win is a win.

The Bills went into Cincinnati needing a victory to kick off the second half of their season to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Rex Ryan challenged his secondary this week and said he “wasn’t here to make friends.”

With the healthiest roster they’ve had all season, Buffalo scored first on a LeSean McCoy touchdown run. McCoy would later injure his thumb and not play in the second half.

The Bills also lost Robert Woods in the contest and trailed by two going into halftime.

In the final thirty minutes, Buffalo’s defense rose to the occasion with their season on the line holding the Begnals to just 4 first downs while shutting them out.

A pair of Dan Carpenter fields goals were the only points in the final two quarters as the Bills will leave Ohio back at .500
