LeSean McCoy has hired top Atlanta attorney Don Samuel to represent him as he battles an accusation that he arranged an attack on former girlfriend Delicia Cordon, according to multiple reports.

Samuel has 34 years of practicing experience and an impressive resume, including multiple high profile sports trials. Samuel was the attorney for Ray Lewis in his 2000 double murder trial and Ben Roethlisberger when the Steelers quarterback faced sexual assault charges in 2010.

Cordon was attacked during a home invasion early Tuesday morning. She was hit in the face with a firearm multiple times and required a hospital visit for treatment.

A police report released Wednesday seems to confirm the claim from Cordon’s lawyer Tuesday night that the assailant got inside without forced entry.

The report also says there were two other women inside the home with Cordon at the time of the attack and both were 34 years old.

Two friends of Cordon posted a picture to social media Tuesday of a beaten woman they claim was the former McCoy beau. Both accused McCoy of the abuse and the second believed he arranged the home invasion.

Samuel may want to consult with Richie Incognito.

McCoy’s former teammate tweeted multiple times that he believes McCoy is innocent and “knows the full story.”

In a different reply to a discussion about the McCoy situation, Incognito, seemingly, referred to Cordon by saying “enough with this fake lifestyle she was living.”

Incognito has tweeted multiple messages of support to and for McCoy. He even changed his avatar to a picture of he and McCoy together at the Pro Bowl.
