Boca Raton police were called to deal with an incident involving Richie Incognito Wednesday morning.

According to TMZ, Incognito became belligerent at an upscale Florida gym with another man who was working out. Incognito threw a tennis ball and then a dumbbell at the man before the police were requested. They responded at 9:20am.

Incognito was also reportedly screaming and rambling about the government.

Boca Raton police have confirmed the incident and that Incognito was detained under the Baker Act. He was not formally arrested, but was required to have a mental evaluation. Under the Baker Act, any weapons owned by the individual can also be seized.

Incognito was released by the Bills on Monday from their reserve-retired list.
