Sometimes a good role model makes all the difference. Today, we head to Diehl Elementary School to meet our Good Kid, showing her peers the importance of kindness.
Her mom describes her as ambitious, sweet, and unique. To her peers, 8 year old Amira Wells is kind and to her teachers, she’s a role model.
“I be kind to others,” Amira tells us, “because it’s a good choice to help somebody out.”
Amira is a second grader at Diehl Elementary and recently, one of her teachers felt compelled to send a letter home to her parents.
She got a glowing review about her tendency to be helpful and cooperative. Her mother says, “hopefully she has a chance to show other kids it’s a good quality to have and helping others will get them and her far in life”.
Amira tells us more about why she is such a good kid. “What I like about my school is that most people are kind and what I like about my friends is that they are very kind to me and I’m kind to them.” A sentiment any parent is happy to hear.
