Hearts Without Homes – Doc 07/07/2016

Hearts Without Homes

JET 24/FOX66 is helping foster children find forever homes.  This month’s teen has a love for history.

This seventh grader hoping to find a forever family has many goals he wants to achieve.  He’s hoping to find a family to help him in all that he plans to do.  We’re getting to know him inside of the Watson Curtze Mansion.

From the American Civil War to World War II, this 15 year old knows it all.  Doc has a passion for American History and the desire to travel around the country to see historical monuments and locaitons.  He says he is hoping to find a family that is interested in history.

Doc is excited as he tours the Watson Curtze Mansion in the heart of Erie.  Touring the mansion guided by the Director and Tour Guide, getting a look at the impressive architecture and historical artifacts.  He says he wants to become a part of a family that values education.  He plans to attend college to earn a degree in what he’s most passionate about.

Even though he’s still young, Doc is already looking into colleges. “I am looking into BC Three and Mount Aloysius where I can play basketball there and then also study science and history.”

Basketball is Doc’s favorite sport.  “They make shoes that can actually keep your ankles from getting hurt and the basketball player who makes those…. Michael Jordan, and I mostly like his shoes.”

Doc says he stays active by playing outside with his friends.  He hopes to find a home in a neighborhood where he can enjoy the outdoors.

After living in several foster homes for the past 15 years, Doc wants to find a forever family that he can trust and create new memories with.  He wants a family that will, “mostly, like, keep promises”.

For more information, contact Family Services of Northwestern Pennsylvania at 814-866-4549.  A few other things about Doc, he says he loves music and likes trying new foods.
