Hearts Without Homes: Road to Success

Hearts Without Homes

You see them on the road, but have you stepped inside a tractor-trailer? Climbing behind the steering wheel was 13-year-old David, who hopes to someday drive one.

When asked if he liked the idea of traveling the country, he replied “no.” Fortunately, David can always work regionally.

Unable to drive yet, the eighth-grader recently got a chance to ride in the semi with the help of Frank Sabol and Sons in Girard. David was thrilled.

“I like them so much,” he said.

David also like frogs and caterpillars, as well as more common pets.

“I like cats, too, and dogs.”

The simple things in life make David smile like playing outdoors and exploring the world around him; but his search for a loving home continues. The teen said he is looking for a family.

“A dad and a mom, and a brother and a sister.”

Although, David was a little shy in front of the camera and spoke with brevity, his personality spoke volumes.

“I’m a good child,” he said.
