JET 24/FOX 66 is introducing you to young teenagers hoping to find their forever home. This young man has his eyes set on becoming a broadcast journalist.
He took a seat at the desk for the very first time, getting a real feel for the job. At only 13 years old, Shawn has a love for the news. “It looks kind of cool to me. I like watching the weather and reading the newspaper because it updates me and so does TV.”
The 8th Grader plans on becoming a news anchor and reporter. We showed him around the news station, giving him a look at the control room, newsroom, and his favorite part, the studio. We quickly learned he’s a natural on the anchor desk! “I love JET 24 and Fox 66.”
If he’s not getting caught up on the latest news headlines, he enjoys watching WWE and football. “Of course NFL, ’cause the Steelers.” His favorite game time meal? “Meat lover’s pizza.”
Academics, he says, is something that comes easy. ” I don’t even have to study most of the time, I just learn [it] all in school and… comes time for the test I’m like OK get an A!”
Shawn says he loves pets and hoping to find a family with a lot of love. “As a family, who I can trust and just to care about me and actually treat me like like I’m supposed to be treated.”
