Editor’s Note: The date for Fire Prevention Day has been corrected.
In 1920, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed Fire Prevention Day to be celebrated as an annual holiday.
Every Oct. 9, fire departments across the country teach fire prevention and safety. Families, schools and businesses are encouraged to conduct fire drills for proper preparation.
In light of this holiday, Bob Lafaro, from the Lafaro Insurance Agency joins JET 24 Action News to discuss issues to be aware of regarding fire insurance.
