Bayfront Brawl Coming to Erie


Bayfront Brawl Set For May 7th

ERIE, PA (May 4, 2016) – Rising boxing promoter Ernie Bizzarro of Bizzarro Promotions is set to bring an explosive night of MMA Cage Fighting action to the Bayfront Convention Center on Saturday night. The card appropriately titled “Bayfront Brawl” presently features some of the best MMA fighters in the region matched against regional and national competition.

It will be Bizzarro Promotions first venture into the MMA field after several successful boxing events in the Erie area. Promoter Ernie Bizzarro already sees the excitement as tickets are going quickly. “It is going to be a real big event and I’m proud to bring it to Erie, PA,” said Bizzarro. The card has several fighters’ right from the Erie area who are ready to represent in their hometown. “One of my goals is to help the fighters in Erie and the surrounding area to get fights here so they don’t have to travel all the time to places such as Buffalo, Cleveland or Detroit just to get in the ring.

“This going to be a really big show and there has been a lot of interest in Erie for this event.”  Headlining the show will be Erie, PA’s Branden Seyler (5-3-1) out of the 3 Elements Gym who will face fellow 130 pounder Joe Pegg (6-3) of Vatabia, Ohio.

In the co-feature of the evening, Ohio’s own, Damonte Robinson will look to follow up on an undefeated amateur career (5-0) when he debuts against Mike Wiseman (1-2) CMA Campbell Martial arts of the 155 pound weight class  

A title fight is also on the card. The 125lb title is on the line as Nikolai Gionti (4-0) out of GriffonRawl MMA takes on an opponent to be announced. Gionti is coached by former Ultimate Fighter and UFC star Jason “Dynamite” Dent, who will be in attendance and in his corner. 

For those that like the ladies, there will be a can’t miss female battle as 3 Element’s and Erie, PA’s own Shari Robinson battles it out with fellow 155 pounder Gina Tallerico (0-2) out of the Mat Factory in Pittsburgh. Robinson will be the first female 40 year old fighter to cage fight in PA.

Two debuting Erie, PA residents will fight it out for city pride in the 155lb weight class as 3 Elements own William Ferguson takes on, in city rival Zachary LaRocca.  Heavyweights will also be in action as Chuck Lamp of 3 Elements Erie locks horns with Carl Holmes, Erie PA.

Erie’s own Jeremy Sakuta (3-4) of 3 Elements will do battle with Jose Martinez (6-5) of the Wrestling Factory Cleveland who will be fighting for the first time at 170lbs from Lorain, Ohio
205 pounder Nathan Boyer (2-2) of Erie, PA 2-2 will take on Jon Tuxford (3-3) of Bitner Muay Thai. Tuxford is from West York, Pa

Teeshay Gouthro (1-0) will make her way across the border from MMA in Niagara Falls, Canada to scrap with Dib Kaddah (1-2) of the Wrestling Factory, Cleveland.

Erie pride is again on the line as John Sawtelle (debut) of Erie, PA battles it out with fellow city resident Seth Pickens (debut) of the 3 Elements Gym.

Two out of towners do battle in the 155lb. weight class as Chancler Davidson (1-3) of Mayanz MMA Massillon, Ohio takes on Timmy Miller of Gahanna, Ohio (0-1)

Erie, PA’s Matthew Sinnott (3-4) will step into the cage against Anthony Monteleone (2-2) of East Palestine MMA in East Palestine, Ohio

A pair of 170 pounders will make their debuts as Josh Reynolds of the Wrestling Factory-Cleveland, Oh squares off against 3 Elements Gym’s Joshua Szymanowski.

Opening the card will be a 145 lb. affair as Mike Miller (2-0) of Bitner Muay Thai in West York, PA goes toe-to-toe with Dillon Weston (2-0) of the Mat Factory-Pittsburgh.
