Peterson Taking Medical Leave of Absence
Erie, PA (January 9) – Erie BayHawks head coach Bill Peterson is taking a leave of absence from the team for medical reasons. The length of his leave is uncertain and Peterson hopes to return to the team soon.
Peterson suffered a concussion during the team’s game on January 4 when BayHawks forward Branden Dawson inadvertently collided with Peterson on the sideline. Peterson did not coach the team during their last two games on January 6 and 7. Assistant coach Norman Richardson is coaching the team in Peterson’s absence.
Erie hosts the Windy City Bulls on Wednesday at 7pm at Erie Insurance Arena.
