Fort LeBoeuf Suspends Wrestlers following practice incident

Fort Leboeuf High School has suspended two of its best wrestlers including defending state runner-up and Appalachian State commit Julian Gorring.
According to the website PA Power Wrestling. . .Gorring and fellow senior Brent Burbules got into an altercation of sorts February 5 with a third unidentified student athlete.
Gorring’s father told PA Power Wrestling that the alleged victim has called Gorring a racial slur on more than one occasion this year. . .Including during that wrestling practice.
According to the article – both Gorring and Burbules admit to briefly putting their bare butt cheeks on the younger student athlete’s head.
Gorring’s dad says Julian is serving an out of school suspension through February 21st which would cause him to miss the sectional tournament.
Superintendent Richard Emerick would not comment on the alleged incident but says the administration has investigated and quote responded in a manner that is consistent with district policy.
