Gannon University Mourns The Loss of Aaron Cox
Regretfully, we announce the sad news of the sudden passing of Aaron Cox (Dorchester, N.J./Millville), former Gannon baseball student-athlete and brother of Kyle Cox (Dorchester, N.J./Millville) ’18.  Aaron began his first year at Gannon in 2012 after graduating from Millville High School in New Jersey, and left in 2015 when he was drafted by the Anaheim Angels playing in their minor league system.  During his time at Gannon, Aaron distinguished himself by setting several notable records as a pitcher, including Gannon’s all-time leader in strikeouts. He also ranks second in victories as well as earned run average. At the plate, he is second all-time at Gannon in home runs. All the more impressive is the statistics were generated in only three years.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with his brother Kyle and his family as well as with Aaron’s friends, especially his coaches and teammates both at Gannon and in the Anaheim organization.

May God enfold Aaron in his merciful love and give comfort to the family and us all as we mourn his passing.
