It was a night for the bats as the SeaWolves exploded to an 11-0 thumping of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in front of a sold out crowd at UPMC Park on Saturday night.

Erie jumped ahead in the bottom of the first inning against Fisher Cats starter Sean Reid-Foley. The ‘Wolves loaded the bases on a Harold Castro single, Will Maddox walk and Mike Gerber single. ChristinStewart lifted a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Castro for a 1-0 lead.

The ‘Wolves then took a commanding lead in the second. Gabriel Quintana led off with a single and Kody Eaves blasted a two-run home run to right, his 11th, to make it 3-0. With one out, A.J. Simcoxwalked and scored on a Castro double to the alley in right-center for a 4-0 lead. Maddox singled home Castro from second to make it 5-0. Gerber, who was in his first game with the SeaWolves since June 28, belted a two-run home run to right. His eighth jack gave the SeaWolves a 7-0 lead.

Eaves would put the ‘Wovles ahead 8-0 in the bottom of the third when he clubbed his second home run of the game and 12th of the season against reliever Justin Shafer.

In the last of the fifth, Stewart led off and reached on an error and Steven Moya followed with a walk to put a runner in scoring position. Eaves then collected his fourth RBI of the game with a double down the right field line to plate Stewart for a 9-0 lead.

The ‘Wolves completed the night’s scoring in the seventh against reliever Jose Fernanez. Moya and Quintana started the inning with back-to-back base hits. Eaves then doubled home Moya for his fifth RBI of the game and a 10-0 lead. Grayson Greiner walked to load the bases for Simcox who gave Erie its final run on a sacrifice fly to right to score Quintana.

Erie starter Beau Burrows (6-3) was fantastic in his 12th Double-A start. He tossed six no-hit innings, walking two and striking out eight. Burrows has combined to strike out 18 batters over his past two games. Only three Fisher Cats reached on the Erie righty, a pair of walks and one on an error.

Adam Ravenelle gave up the first hit of the night in the seven on an infield single to Anthony Alford. Ravenelle went on to hurl three scoreless in relief of Burrows to notch his first save.
