Harbor Creek’s Mattson Taken in MLB Draft

The Los Angeles Angels selected Harbor Creek grad and Pitt Panther Isaac Mattson in the 19th round of the Major League Baseball draft this afternoon.
Mattson notched a team-best four saves in 21 appearances as a reliever with the Panthers, leading the bullpen with a 2.87 ERA in three seasons at Pitt.
Titusville grad Adam Bleday was drafted in the 27th round by the Houston Astros.
Mercyhurst University infielder Cameron Balego was also selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 30th round.
