Stephon Gilmore will not be holding out.
ESPN’s Josina Anderson tweeted Monday morning that Gilmore will report to St. John Fisher for Bills training camp on time.
Gilmore is entering the final year of his rookie contract with the Bills. Buffalo GM Doug Whaley has said signing Gilmore to a long term deal is “important”, but Gilmore’s comments to Anderson seem to indicate no contract agreement is imminent.
“Everyone wants a long term deal, but I don’t have any ultimatums,” Gilmore said, according to a second Anderson tweet. “I’m getting what I am getting this year. I’m just really focused on the season and focusing on myself and the team. I just got to stay prayed up and work hard like I have been doing the last four years, and keep putting my film on tape.”
The Bills will report to camp later this week and hold their first practice at 10am Saturday.
Team personnel began moving equipment into the facilites at St. John Fisher Monday.
