The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, are pleased to announce that the team will be honored as the champions of the BUSH’S Home Run Recipes national contest at UPMC Park on Friday, August 17.
Duke, the BUSH’s Beans spokesdog, will be at UPMC Park to greet fans and honor the SeaWolves for their championship recipe.
On June 21, it was announced that the Fiesta Burger beat out 52 other food items from across Minor League Baseball in a national voting contest and was named the top concession item in all of Minor League Baseball. The winning recipe features a third-pound beef burger topped with BUSH’s black beans, a slice of pepperjack cheese, bacon, guacamole, salsa and French’s fried onions. It sells for $8 and comes with a bag of Utz chips. The Fiesta Burger can be purchased nightly at the Bud & Burgers Cart which is located on the concourse behind home plate at UPMC Park.
It is the second straight year that the SeaWolves have won the Home Run Recipes Contest. In 2017, the Mojo & AC Rocket Dog was the winning recipe.
Fans will be able to meet and take a photo with Duke before the SeaWolves game against the Bowie Baysox at 7:05 p.m. Duke will then take the field during the ceremonial first pitches and award presentation before returning to take photos during the first two innings of the game.
The first 1,000 fans will receive a C. Wolf Sorting Hat Bobblehead on Harry Potter Night. Fans can also take advantage of Happy Hour specials featuring $3 Budweiser and Bud Light drafts, as well as Pepsi fountain drinks, exclusively in the Bud Light Beer Garden until first pitch. Also, before the game, fans can meet C. Wolf and a SeaWolves player at the Team Store to get an autograph thanks to Plyler Entry Systems.
